At Keepin Katz, your cat’s comfort, safety, and wellbeing come first.

Every cat in our care is treated as an individual, with accommodation and routines tailored to their personality, health and needs.

All cats staying with us are provided with high-quality, vet-approved food, fresh water, daily cleaning, and attentive care. For added peace of mind, a local veterinarian is on call 24 hours a day should any medical support be required.

Our pricing reflects the type of accommodation selected and any additional care requirements, such as medication, special diets, or critical care support. This ensures your cat receives the right level of care - without compromise.

Tailored Feline Stays

At Keepin Katz, we offer cattery services in Auckland, designed to suit your cat's unique needs. From private rooms to special diets, your pet's comfort is our priority.

Feel Confident About Your Cat's Stay

Preparing for your cat’s stay doesn’t need to be stressful. A few familiar items from home can make a big difference in helping your cat settle, feel secure, and maintain their usual routine while boarding with us. We’ve put together a simple guide so you know exactly what to bring — from food and bedding to medications — ensuring your cat is comfortable and well cared for from day one.

Will my cat be safe while staying at Keepin Katz?

Yes. Your cat’s safety is our highest priority. Our cattery is secure, complying with MPI's animal welfare guidelines. Each area has double doors (airlocks) and we follow strict protocols when entering through adjoining areas. Being situated in a coastal rural setting, we have installed 304 stainless steel mesh (rust proof) in all outdoor facing units.

What if my cat gets stressed or anxious?

We understand that some cats find boarding challenging. That’s why we tailor accommodation and care routines to each cat’s personality, offering quiet individual units, familiar routines, and gentle handling to help them settle comfortably. We may also use a Feliway diffuser or Feliway sprays, which release calming pheromones to help reduce stress.

Can you cater for cats with medical or special needs?

Absolutely. We regularly care for cats with medical conditions, special diets, and medication needs. Our critical care and medication support options ensure your cat receives attentive, appropriate care throughout their stay. When making a booking enquiry, please state your cat's specific care requirements and we will quote on an individual basis. There may of course be an increased cost involved depending on the level of care and potential additional cleaning involved.

Will my cat receive individual attention?

Yes. Every cat is monitored daily and cared for individually. We take time to observe behaviour, appetite, and wellbeing, adjusting care as needed to keep your cat comfortable and content. We love to get to know all of our guests on an individual basis, finding out what makes them happy. Maybe it's brushing, or playtime, or just having a lap to sit on. Please let us know all your cat's favourite things to do and we'll do our best to keep them entertained during the day.

Do you accept cats from across Auckland?

Yes. We welcome cats from across Auckland and surrounding areas, and many of our clients return year after year knowing their cats are in trusted hands.

What should I bring?

If your cat is staying in their own unit, we recommend you bring some familiar items from home to help them settle into their new surroundings, toys, bedding, perhaps something with your scent on (pillowcases are popular). We provide bowls, litter trays and cat furniture/scratch posts.                  If you are not sure, please ask.
