We are privileged to care for so many special cats. Here’s what their owners have shared about their time with us.
Jordie
When we first adopted our furbaby, we visited a few catteries to find a “second home” for her whenever we travel, and Keepin Katz stood out right away. It was by far the best, and Jan was easily the warmest “cat aunt” among everyone we met. We’ve now been bringing our cat here for about 3 years now, and it’s always been a place we feel confident leaving her in.
We’ve left Jordie in Jan and Amy’s hands for all kinds of trips - from short getaways to longer, almost month-long stays, and we always feel at ease. As an overthinking furmum, I really appreciate how Jan reassures us that Jordie is doing well and properly cared for.
There have also been moments that really showed how much they care. When my partner and I were getting married, we were a bit frazzled and forgot Jordie’s things. Jan immediately told us not to worry and that they would take care of everything, so we didn’t have to rush back home.
Recently, we had a trip where our flight got cancelled and rescheduled the following day, Jan kindly agreed to a different pick-up time to accommodate the unplanned change and reassured us that Jordie was absolutely fine in their care. That really helped ease our stress during an already hectic situation.
They also follow our requests for Jordie, both the simple and the slightly “extra” ones, just to make sure she is comfortable and easily settled. Also thrilled that Jordie even seems to have her own favourite unit facing the trees - I’m certain she enjoys watching the birds.

Reddy
We have used Keepin Katz for many years and will continue to do so because they have the most professional, caring, helpful and well organised operation that we are aware of – and we keep an eye on other options! The staff are absolutely second to none in how they have gone out the way to accommodate our needs and care for our cats (over the years they have looked after three of our cats impeccably.
Our business needs means we travel away from Auckland frequently and unpredictably at times, and Keepin Katz have always done their best to accommodate us. We are hugely grateful.
Sometimes our cats have needed something a little different – special care or particular accommodation. Always Keeping Katz have done their best to help.
The physical environment is absolutely stunning – extremely well maintained, airy, weather sensitive and secure. We could wish for nothing better for our precious pet. We know he is spoiled, but we love him and truly appreciate the care Keepin Katz offers.

Chico
Locating to Auckland from Australia meant our cat got here before us. We chose Keepin Katz from their website and reviews and Chico was delivered straight there from the airport (by Jetpets). With covid/shipping delays, he was there for 3 months before we could collect him. Such a long time but made so much easier knowing he was loved and well looked after. Jan gave us regular updates, photos and chats over the phone. Our very shy cat was in top health and condition and very happy and relaxed when we collected him. As obvious as it was that he had felt very much at home and been so well looked after - he remembered us immediately and is now very happy and settled in his new home. No doubt he will enjoy his future (alot shorter) visits to Keepin Katz! We highly recommend them.

Pumpkin
We can highly recommend Keepin Katz where our 2 lovely Maine Coons have stayed on many occasions.
Jan provided amazing care to our 'complex cat' who had (past tense, sadly) a number of health conditions. We were able to relax while away knowing that she was been looked after so well, getting all her medications, and getting the extra care she needed. Thanks Jan and Amy.

Koda
I just wanted to say a huge thank you. As a family we are delighted with the care and attention you give the cats, the way you know all their names and personalities and accommodate these.
While Koda is not a “cattery” cat and prefers his humans he was well looked after in "Club Med" and got the human interaction and cuddles he needed. It’s also great when you see the photos while you are away and I appreciated you taking the time to answer my text when I know you are all very busy.

Keepin Katz is the holiday home for our boys, Opal and Sapphire. Leaving them behind when we travel is always hard but we feel at ease knowing they are well taken care of by Jan and Amy. Lovely clean facilities also. As always, Thank you!

There isn't a cattery that compares, which is evident in the attention to detail that goes into looking after their furry guests. There's not a rabbit hutch in sight like I've seen at other places and the cats have got all the space, freedom, quiet time and privacy they could dream of. The security and cleanliness are also outstanding, and the team understands the level of care certain kinds of cat people are after... Couldn't recommend Keepin Katz more!

Wow am I glad we found Keeping Katz!! Jan runs a superb cattery and from the minute we dropped our cats we could tell she was going to provide not only a safe, clean, well set up environment for them, but that she took a genuine interest in our feline family members and how they were coping and settling in. Wouldn't want to send my cats anywhere else now. Thank you so much for providing an awesome home away from home for our cats.
