Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully as making a booking will be deemed as acceptance of these.

We require payment of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 at the time of booking.

(This will be retained by us should you cancel the booking prior to your agreed arrival date.)

Kindly quote your booking number and cat(s) name(s) as your bank reference.

Once received we will apply to your account and acknowledge receipt.

Bookings made during the Christmas holiday period 15th December to 31 January must be for a minimum of 7 days  and require a non-refundable deposit of 50% payable at the time of booking.

Please use same bank account details as above, quoting your cat(s) name(s) and booking reference number. 

Our policy around Christmas/New Year cancellations is that the 50% non refundable deposit is retained by us upon cancellation, (unless of course the cat passes away).

*Subject to our discretion and circumstances, your deposit may be credited against your account for use against a future booking.

Your cat must be desexed. As an exception & at our sole discretion, we may be prepared to accept young kittens or un-neutered adult cats although it will be necessary to accommodate them in their own individual units.

All cats must be treated for fleas & worms prior to boarding. We reserve the right to administer this treatment if found necessary at your expense - Refer to our useful information sheet regarding this topic, under the Resources tab - Flea Control.. 

Proof of vaccination against Feline Panleukopenia (Enteritis), Calcivirus and Rhinotrachetis (herpes) administered no less than 10 days previously must be produced before acceptance into the cattery. If your cat has received its annual vaccinations and they are not due to expire during their stay with us, this is fine. Kindly email a copy of your cat's vet booklet, showing their latest vaccination history prior to their stay.

Please ensure that you advise us of all information regarding the wellbeing of your cat e.g. dietary, medical or behavioural needs together with an emergency contact number in NZ. Should your cat require veterinary attention we will arrange this locally but all costs incurred will be passed on to you on collection. 

Keepin Katz will take full care of all guests but will not be held liable under any circumstances for any illness, disease, injury, accident, loss or death for any reason whatsoever. 

Your authority must be given to release your cat to another person. 

All rates apply to the arrival date and departure date regardless of drop off or pick up time. Rates apply to a calendar day. Payment is to be made on collection of your cat, we have EFTPOS - Tap, Swipe or Insert available. We also accept payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) with no surcharge.

Payment may also be made online to the same account details as your deposit payment, quoting your booking reference and cat's name.

We reserve the right to charge for any period booked but not taken. 

Long term bookings of over 30 days will attract a discount of 10% but this will not apply during public/school holiday periods. A 30% deposit will be payable at time of booking and progress payments may be required, subject to our agreement. 

Cancellation Policy.  Notice in writing must be given at least 48 hours before commencement of the booking. Failure to give this notice will result in payment of the full fee being required.

In the event that any boarding or any cancellation fees remain outstanding we reserve the right to refer the matter to debt collection agents for recovery. Any costs incurred by us will be passed on to you for settlement.
